Fuel supplement (BAF) AMV Logistics OÜ Services

Starting from 01.04.2022, we will apply a fuel surcharge (BAF) to the prices of transport services of AMV Logistics OÜ, which is an abbreviation of the English term Bunker Adjustment Factor. This surcharge is necessary to adjust the prices of services according to the constant changes in fuel prices. We aim to ensure that your shipping costs are only affected by factors that we can control.

Calculation of fuel surcharge:

Price increase percentage – the rate of diesel fuel price increase, expressed as a percentage, is multiplied by a coefficient of 0.33, which reflects the average share of fuel in the total cost of transport services.
Base price – the basis of calculations is the average wholesale price of diesel fuel for the second half of 2021, which was €1.13/liter including VAT.
Effect of the fall – if the wholesale price of diesel fuel falls below €1.13, the value of BAF is 0.

Example: If the wholesale price of diesel on 03.01.2022 was €1.23, which meant a price increase of 8.85%, then the BAF for February 2022 is 2.92%.

Setting the BAF value:

Accounting period – the calculated value of the wholesale price is obtained based on the average fuel price of the last five working days before the beginning of the period.
Frequency of changes – the minimum period for changing the BAF value is half a month.
